People insisting I'm going to be late

I think I've complained about this before, but they really tick me off!  I was having contractions yesterday, but they stopped.  I posted about it in my facebook status just to let friends and family know, and my FIL comes on and posts "Jan 31", a week after my due date.  Dude, I know that's the date you want because you want him to share DH and your dad's birthday, but that's not what I want to hear!  He's doing it to pretty much every status I put up that implies that baby will come anytime now.  I know I'm likely to go late because I'm a FTM, but I'm tired of feeling like he's calling me stupid for trying to imply baby may come early.  I'm seriously considering putting him on the friend list that doesn't get to see any status updates about baby.

Anyone else ticked off at people insisting that LO will be late?

Re: People insisting I'm going to be late

  • It's super annoying when people tell you when to have the baby, when not to have the baby. My Grandma say's have it on the 21st (11 days after dd) because it was her father's birthday. My mom tells me yesterday not to have him because it was Friday the 13th. From the beginning, being that this is my 5th, I was hopefully and saying this baby is coming early because I was late the last one. DH says nope, he'll be late, and he is. Ugh. Sick of it. Just try to ignore it all. I've come to realize, due dates are just to drive us crazy.

  • I love how people think they know so much more than my doctor about when he's going to come.....I bet no one predicted that I'd be having a scheduled c section in 8 days.
